JUNE 16 EVENT: We have a really super event scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 16 at the Palmer Technology Park in Three Rivers (not far from Belchertown or the Mass. Pike exit in Palmer). There will be a tour, discussion of how to reuse the 300,000 square feet of space, refreshments and a chance to meet Delore Zimmerman, of CEOPraxis in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Delore is the economic development partner of Joel Kotkin , author of THE NEW GEOGRAPHY and many articles for mainline media such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, etc . . .He will be visiting the region to conduct research for a federal study on technology and rural areas and is eager to meet HIDDEN-TECH members to include. Michael Vito, regional director for Sen. John Kerry's western Massachusetts office, will attend the event. Vito has been very involved in spearheading efforts to promote broadband throughout the Pioneer Valley and the Berkshires. Plus he really cares about small companies. Here's your chance to chat with him and get Kerry, who you all know is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, to focus some attention back on his western Massachusetts constituents.
