We need your ideas, creativity, and insight to create events for the coming
year. We'll start with brainstorming then explore topics of interest in
smaller groups. Here are a couple of possibilities:
Join Silvana Gravini and Rich Roth to help plan an event that will attract
Valley companies to learn about outsourcing their Web site planning, design,
and hosting to Hidden-Tech businesses-with the goal of bringing new
customers to Hidden-Tech companies.
Or join Claudia Gere and develop a program on how writing can help build
your business, visibility, or credibility-- with the goal of bringing new
customers to Hidden-Tech writers and marketers.
Maybe you are interested in creating a program modeled after the one Sheldon
Snodgrass ran last May called Prospecting, Cold Calls & Sales, Oh My!-a
two-hour workshop on the essential skills necessary to boost profits using
direct selling.
Are there programs that could drive more business your way, that would help
others in the Hidden-Tech community as well?
This is your chance to present your ideas and put together a proposal. If
you cannot attend, please send your ideas BEFORE March 19, with "Planning"
in the subject line, to claudia_gere@hidden-tech.net
WHAT TOPICS DO YOU WANT TO LEARN ABOUT OR EXPERIENCE?
Running a small business, growing your business, people/management skills,
insurance, finance, marketing strategies, technical skills, new
technologies, etc.
WHAT KIND OF EVENTS DO YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN OR ATTEND?
Intern fair, showcase, seminar, networking, group just-for-fun outings (to
Tanglewood, play golf, after work camaraderie, museum), etc.
WHO DO YOU KNOW WITH SOMETHING TO SHARE?
Are there presenters you've heard at other meetings? Is there someone you
would like to hear present? Do you have knowledge, skills, or experiences
others will be interested in that you are willing to share?
GOALS
The goal for the evening is to develop a list of well-formulated proposed
events including the purpose, audience, place, and event leader.
Your board will review the proposal recommendations, make the final
selections, and coordinate scheduling.
AGENDA
5:00 to 6:00 Informal Networking
6:00 to 7:30 Introduction, breakout groups, and results sharing

program titled, "A Bird's Eye View of the New Massachusetts Healthcare
Legislation"
Here's your opportunity to learn what the self-employed (and small
businesses) need to know about the new, mandatory Massachusetts health
insurance legislation in effect this summer. Dan Keenan, Vice President,
Government Affairs & Advocacy for the Sisters of Providence Health System
will present and field your questions.
