KEEPING OUT THE CHILL: Energy Conservation/Efficiency Night
LOCATION: Greenfield Community College's Main Street office, Greenfield
TIME: 5 - 8 p.m.
FOOD: Wraps, sides, drinks and cookies thanks to GCC and Hidden-Tech
COST: $5
With the rising cost of fuel hitting all of our pocketbooks right now there
couldn't be a better time to hear from experts on ways you can save energy
in your home and office.
Hidden-Tech has asked several energy experts to lead a Q & A discussion on
energy conservation and efficiency on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Greenfield
Community College's Main Street offices.
The following have agreed to attend, though we're open to others if you
know them:
* Tim Simmonds, Western Massachusetts Electric Co. Manager of Conservation
& Load Management will be on hand to discuss all the ways to reduce your
electric bills. He's considered very knowledgeable of conservation
programs/services and energy issues in general.
* Don Campbell of Solar Energy Consulting in Northfield will be available
to talk about solar heating and all the ways to make solar power affordable.
* Pioneer Valley PhotoVoltaics Cooperative will send a representative.
We've invited representatives from CoopPower, which is trying to get off
the ground with a biodiesel business. More on whether they will send a
representative later.
DIRECTIONS: Take exit 26 off I-91 and follow the traffic rotary to Route 2A
east toward downtown, Greenfield Community College's Downtown Center would
be on your left, a block before the light at Main and Federal St. Public
parking is available at School and Ames Streets and between Chapman and
Davis Streets.
