Good things happen when Hidden-Tech members get together. Connections
are
made, new partnerships formed and project ideas hatched. So come
join us
in this special networking session hosted by the The Food Bank of
Western
Massachusetts called "Hidden Hunger." You'll get a chance
to help out the
Food Bank and have a lot of fun hanging out with Hidden-Tech members
while
you do it.
And you'll learn a bit about the "hidden hunger" in this
region. Hunger
isn't as visible in the Valley as it is the subway, train and bus
stations
in Boston, New York City, Washington, D,C. , even Holyoke and Springfield,
but it's here. And you'll learn how you can help.
Here's the plan:
5 - 6 p.m: Informal networking, optional tour
of the Food Bank facility
starting around 5:30 p.m.
6 - 8 pm: Brief Food Bank orientation, followed
by a "hands-on" food
sorting service session. While sorting food, you can hob-nob with
other
Hidden-Tech members and learn more about the Food Bank from the
staff that
will be joining us. Perhaps we'll even leave with some new ideas
for how
Hidden-Tech members can contribute their skills to the Food Bank
on an
ongoing basis.
