The Valley's own comic, management guru and theater improv expert -- Izzy Gesell -- will be on hand to kick off the HIDDEN-TECH holiday party with some humorous stories from the hidden tech front. HIDDEN TECH founder/co-chair Amy Zuckerman has been collecting anecdotes from her new book -- BUILDING THE VIRTUAL AMERICAN DREAM -- and will join Izzy in a fun reading. We won't name names -- promise.

If you are so inclined, we'll open the mike and let you introduce yourself and entertain the group with your own stories about survival on the front-lines of the hidden tech movement. Do you have trouble taking a toilet break? Have kids interfering while you're conducting a meeting? Rabits? Birds? Be prepared to share those anecdotes with us. After we've had a few laughs and broken the ice, there will be music. Bring along your favorite CDs. It's a great place for dancing.

And bring some holiday snacks to share with everyone. Nibblies and sweets are welcome along with anything more substantial that doesn't require heating up. NO LIQUOR, please, though sparkling cider is OK.

Mainly, bring yourselves and friends. This one is open to all free of charge.

Directions

From the South:

Northampton is off of Route I-91. Take Exit 18, and follow
Route 5 north into the center of town. Turn left onto Route 9.

From the North:

From I-91 South, take Exit 20, and follow onto Route 5
south into the center of town. At the intersection of Route 5 and
Route 9 (Main Street), turn right onto Route 9.

Once on Rt 9:

Go through the first set of lights. Take a left at the second light
onto "Rt. 66 West/Westhampton". Go past "The Felt Building"
on the left and over a small bridge. Take a right at the sign,
"Smith College Athletic Fields" onto a short dirt drive (see
a white fence on your left). At the end of the drive is a parking lot
and tennis courts. The Field House is to the right.
