IMPROV NIGHT: On Monday, July 21 the theme is FUN!

When:
July 21, 2003 5 - 8 p.m.
Where:Munson Library lower-level room (Directions below)

Our headliner for the event is David Shepherd, called by many the Father of Improv. He started the first American improv cabaret, Compass, which evolved into Second City. He is a master of improv events working with professionals and/or amateurs. Whether you're adventurous, timid, or somewhere in between; whether you love to be onstage or learn from the sidelines; you'll experience the delight of improv, some amazing techniques, and a new way of looking at life.

As part of the event, we're also inviting you to SWAP. Share your favorites---favorite movie, book read, Web site, day trip, restaurant, favorite drink, relaxation tip, personal development tip. So start thinking about some of the positive things you've experienced over the past year.

Book swap---bring a book take one home. Beverages will be provided, but it's brown bag for food---bring your favorite sandwich and one to swap. We'll explain how it all works soon.

Volunteer opportunities: We'd like about four people to rehearse, July 14, 4:00 p.m. (probably at the Bangs Center in downtown Amherst) and help David Shepherd, kick off the evening improv. More information on location is coming soon.

Feel free to bring snacks or a brown-bag dinner. Chips and drinks will be provided.

The price at the door is $2 for members of the Technology Enterprise Council (TEC) members; $5 for the general public.

Please contact Claudia Gere if you want to rehearse or for more information on the improv program. 259-1741 or claudia@GlaudiaGereCo.com.
